The 2027 Music Teachers of Excellence application is divided into two phases. Phase 1 of the applications will open September 2nd, 2026.

THE PROCESS
The CMA Foundation Music Teachers of Excellence application process is designed to celebrate and recognize outstanding educators making a lasting impact through music education. From the initial application phase to finalist selection, each step is thoughtfully reviewed by a panel of adjudicators to honor teachers whose passion, leadership, and dedication inspire students and strengthen their communities through music.
