WHO IS A MUSIC TEACHER OF EXCELLENCE?
The Music Teachers of Excellence award supports educators who demonstrate exemplary teaching and student learning, and are committed to making a positive impact on their school and community while raising awareness for the broader cause of music education. In addition, the ideal candidate can confidently overcome challenges in the classroom and is constantly seeking opportunities to continue to develop themselves professionally.

HOW TO APPLY
Phase One of the Music Teachers of Excellence application is now open! Now is your chance to chance to shine a light on the incredible impact you make in the classroom every day! Take the next step and start your application today!
APPLICATION STEPS
STEP 2
Submit your Phase One application by November 12, 2026 to be considered for this year’s Music Teachers of Excellence.
STEP 3
A panel of adjudicators carefully evaluates each submission to select our semi-finalists.
STEP 4
Semi-finalists are announced in December 2026 and are invited to advance to Phase Two of the Music Teachers of Excellence application.
STEP 5
Semi-finalists submit their Phase Two application by February 18, 2027 and the panel of adjudicators will complete the final evaluations.
STEP 6
Finalists will be announced during Teacher Appreciation Week in May 2027!
