CMAF was formed in 2003 as a Not-For-Profit corporation.
The core objective of CMAF is the cultivation and encouragement of responsible, proven practices that sustain and build consumer and merchant confidence in the financial services marketplace. As the marketplace continues to expand and becomes more complex, so too do techniques used for criminal purposes, such as identity theft and payment fraud.
CMAF believes that raising consumer and merchant awareness of best practices, along with a non-partisan approach to advocating, endorsing and providing services to protect consumers and merchants, is central to achieving its mission.
CMAF is committed to securing additional sponsors and partners to provide support and resources for funding, expertise and program development and implementation. |
